No. SCIDraw subscriptions are one-time purchases. When your plan expires, you'll lose VIP features but your account and projects remain intact. You can re-subscribe at any time from /subscription.

We don't currently offer a separate ongoing student discount beyond the standard pricing ($10 weekly / $29 monthly / $199 yearly), which is already priced below comparable tools like BioRender ($200/year).

Possible causes:
Project data is stored on Alibaba Cloud infrastructure in Hong Kong. AI prompts sent to model providers (Zhipu GLM, Alibaba DashScope, MiniMax) are processed in mainland China — these contain only your prompt text and uploaded reference images, never your password or billing data. See Privacy Policy §2 and §4.
Not yet. Currently you must export projects one by one (open → Export → SVG). Bulk export is on our roadmap. If you have 20+ projects and need a bulk download, email us with your account email and we'll prepare a ZIP within 48 hours.

Not currently. We do not train AI models on user content (per our Privacy Policy §5). Custom model training is a future Enterprise feature — if you have 500+ figures you'd want to fine-tune on, email us to discuss.
You do. Per Terms §5, you own all figures you create with SCIDraw including AI-assisted outputs, subject to your compliance with the Terms. SCIDraw retains only a non-exclusive license to host and display your content to provide the service to you. We do not redistribute your figures.
Recommended: Chrome, Edge, Firefox (latest versions). Functional but with minor rendering quirks: Safari. Not supported: Internet Explorer, mobile browsers (for editing — viewing exported figures works on mobile).
No. SCIDraw runs entirely in your browser. No plugins, no extensions, no desktop app. Optional: install our bookmarklet for one-click clip capture of figures from other websites.
No — SCIDraw requires an internet connection for AI generation, project sync, and template/icon library access. The editor canvas itself can run briefly offline (until the next save), but we don't recommend relying on this.
Not currently. We've prioritized the in-browser editor experience. If you want API access for batch figure generation or integration with a notebook system (Jupyter, Observable), email us — we're gauging demand.
